Although the Search and Rescue Division appears focused on the wilderness aspect of rescue, we also train regularly in vertical rescue and vehicle extrication. These activities also fall under Division Captain Lynch with the vehicle side of rescue overseen by Rescue Officer P. Johnston.

2010 started off with Medic 116-2's first pin job of the year.
The alarm came in as an ALPHA response unknown injury.
Medic 116-2 arrived reporting female unresponsive entrapped via the dash and pedals.
R51 and E99 were alerted and the Medic crew went to work due to the urgency of the extrication.
116-2 removed two of the doors and the B post.
The Rescue responded and assisted with completion of the extrication.
